People magazine says the 53-year-old Louganis will marry paralegal Johnny Chaillot.

The four-time gold medalist is the only man to win consecutive Olympic titles in springboard and platform diving – in 1984 at Los Angeles and 1988 at Seoul.

After his diving career ended, Louganis revealed he was gay in 1994 and announced he was HIV-positive a year later.

Louganis is helping Olympic hopefuls as an athlete mentor for USA Diving. He’s also been featured as a coach on ABC’s reality diving competition “Splash.”

This years Twilight Parade is scheduled for Saturday, June 22nd at 7:30 p.m.  The parade will begin on the South end of Wilton Drive near 20th Street and continue down Wilton Drive to Five Points at Dixie Highway.  You can view the parade anywhere along Wilton Drive.  There will also be bleacher seating available at various locations up and down the drive.

There are two prize categories, the “Over the Top, Grand Prize Float” prize will be presented to the float with the best decorations, music and enthusiasm.  Last years returning champion, The Pride Center at Equality Park (shown to the left)  is sure to be working hard to defend their title.

The second prize category is “Best Walking Group” will be judged on the the best overall concept and visual appeal.  Last years winners, The Hammerhead Aquatics (shown below) will also be defending their title!

Warner Bros.’ $225 million franchise reboot, Man of Steel, took in a blazing $44.1 million on Friday. Including the $12 million earned on Thursday through corporate screening programs, the film has a $56.1 million total headed into the final two days of the weekend. By Sunday night, Man of Steel may earn about $125 million, which would stand as the second highest opening weekend of 2013 behind Iron Man 3‘s $174.1 million.

There’s also a chance that Man of Steel, which garnered an “A-” CinemaScore and has massive potential for Father’s Day business, may hold up better the average tentpole and finish closer to my $132 million prediction. Stay tuned to EW to see where it finishes.

Fellow newcomer This is the End scored $6.9 million on its first Friday, giving it a three-day total of $19.2 million. The $32 million R-rated comedy should take in about $20 million over the weekend, giving it a five day total of about $33 million. Audiences issue the film a “B+” CinemaScore.

Five-year-old Jayden, the daughter of Jon Sink, founder of the philanthropic arts group FRESHCASSETTE – Creative Compassion, decided to set up a stand selling pink lemonade at The Equality House on Friday afternoon. The Equality House is a rainbow-colored building directly across the street from Westboro’s Topeka compound. The house, which was painted the colors of the pride flag in March, was bought by Aaron Jackson, one of the founders of Planting Peace, a multi-pronged nonprofit set up in 2004 and aimed at spreading goodwill and equality around the globe.

Jayden, who is from Kansas City, decided to set up her stand at the Equality House after her parents explained to her the significance of its construct. After being told that the church across the street had a message of hate, she set a goal of raising money to go towards a message of love and peace.

So she painted a banner for the event reading, “Pink Lemonade for Peace: $1 Suggested Donation.” She put the stand in the grass and waited. But the waiting didn’t take long. Supporters came in by the droves and $1 turned into hundreds of dollars.

During the day, Westboro sent representatives outside to try and find a way to stop the event. They apparently attempted to call the local police and stooped to yelling profanities when that didn’t work, like calling a group of soldiers who rode out on their motorcycles to suport the event “bastards.”

Westboro’s hate couldn’t stop Jayden. She not only raised $400 during the day on Friday, but she has also collected over $1000 with an online campaign set up through Crowd Rise. Some people donated as little as $10 and as much as $230. One person gave $26 for every person killed six months ago in the Newtown, Conn., massacre.

“As we all know, the Westboro Baptist Church puts a lot of hate into the world,” Jackson told HuffPost in an email Friday. “Since we cannot stop them, the next best thing is to smother it with love. That is what 5-year-old Jayden accomplished today! Jayden set up a lemonade stand in front of the church. Not only did she quench the thirst of a lot of loving supporters, the money she raised was donated to Planting Peace so she could help Planting Peace promote a more peaceful world.”

“Jayden represents the natural humanity we are born with,” Davis Hammet, Director of Operations at Planting Peace, added. “We come into this world compassionate, caring beings and only become hateful if we are taught to be.”

In what must be the biggest on-air news gaffe since A.J. Clemente’s cursing, Bill Lunn of KSTP-TV, an ABC affiliate in St. Paul, Minn., had the extremely unfortunate slip of the tongue Tuesday while stumbling over the phrase “I pledge allegiance to the flag” — especially regrettable since it happened just before poor Bill introduced a story about the Twin Cities Gay Pride Festival.

“Haha… unfortunate slip of the tongue. Getting razzed at work a bit,” he later tweeted. “4 years and they couldn’t get me on the KSTP blooper reel. I guess they’ve got me now.”

But the LOLs were short-lived; now, following some negative media attention and public outrage on Twitter, he’s “begging forgiveness,” clarifying, “The word when intended is offensive. It was not intended. I merely bumbled trying to read flag. I detest that word.”

Yes the Christopher Reeve Superman’s were fun (well the first couple ones were) and had talent with Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor and Margot Kidder as Lois Lane and a cameo by Marlon Brando.

But the 2006 Superman Returns just plain sucked. Not even Kevin Spacey or Parker Posey could save this film much less Brandon Routh who played him.

Fast forward to 2013 and here we go again with another try. Well if you have seen the photo’s of the new Superman it’s quite obvious he’s HOT. The new lead will be played by Henry Cavill and Russell Crowe will play Jor-El. Kevin Costner plays the all American father figure this time Jonathen Kent. As it opens this weekend let’s just hope this film captures that feel good super hero feeling and that maybe we will get to see more of the new hunk playing him in a sequel.
